MEET OUR SUPPLIERS
While we try to be environmentally conscious with everything we do, we needed to come up with a new package which kept true to this theme by offering locally produced alcohol, and offering fairtrade, organic mixers. We believe these small changes can make a big difference by reducing the carbon footprint of many of our drinks and supporting local or ethical businesses and helping them grow.
We started with our beer and contacted Bedlam Brewery in Plumpton. With the Green Bow Tie Bar package we provide their Pilsner, however they also brew a Pale Ale and Porter if this suits you better. All the energy required for brewing their beer comes from solar panels, they plant and harvest their own hops, and they even supply local farmers with all their spent grain and hops for FREE, which they use to feed their cattle.
We sourced our wine from Bolney Wine Estate. 'The Estate specialises in producing premium red, white, rosé and sparkling English wines that have won numerous awards, and gained lots of fans, all over the world'. The wines we offer are made from grapes grown by Bolney Wine Estate in their vineyard and produced in their winery, both in Sussex.
Our Cider is produced on the edge of the Ashdown Forest by Hurstwood Cider. Their cider is 'a careful blend of Kent and Sussex's best dessert apples and traditional bittersweet varieties'. Their cider won the Bronze Award in the British Cider Championships at the Royal Bath and West Show.
Generation11 gin is a husband and wife team from rural Sussex who share a passion for quality ingredients, great flavour and, locally sourced and produced goods. They source as much as they can locally or by supporting other local businesses. You’ll find their botanical supplier down the road, their English coriander is grown two villages away and their lavender comes from just across the county border in Kent. They have re-commissioned their artisan well and they draw the water in small batches so that they use every drop in our handcrafted Gin.
We provide mixers and soft drinks from the Karma Cola range. They make sure the people who grow their cola get something back from the people who drink it. Their drinks are fair trade, organic and they do a lot for the communities they work with.
